University of Lincoln has been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017. TEF is an independent assessment of teaching quality, student support and graduate success in Higher Education. A gold rating means our university degree courses are of the highest quality found in the UK.
Lincoln School of Media is proud to have been successful with its bid – submitted jointly with CfBT to become one of 24 Regional Partners selected to deliver a BFI Film Academy for 16-19 year olds between Jan-March 2013.
This is a fantastic achievement and recognition of our growing reputation, our commitment to giving young people the best opportunities in film production, and of our established work with schools and colleges.
Thanks and well done to Senior Lecturer Brian Hall who worked so hard on the bid and to all who supported and/or will soon be involved! There will be opportunities for LSM students to work as crew to support the Academy between Jan and March 2013 – application details to come.
The scheme is funded by the Govt’s Dept of Education.
We have started a community TV channel, but with a difference. When the government decided not to award Lincolnshire a channel on Freeview, our thoughts turned to IPTV. Then we thought, why just IPTV – apart from ecommerce, websites are a bit old hat, so we went for a full social media presence.
All students, staff and graduates are very warmly invited to attend by the Committee members: Meghan Fowles, Ollie Cook, Denise Barry and Calum Barre.
The main aims of the society are to provide a forum for events, trips, networking, guest speakers, collaborative projects and so on …
