This is a fabulous paid internship if you’re a University of Lincoln 2014 or 2015 graduate to work on a range of creative projects withmulti-award winning production company Blueprint: Film. It is a full-time position based in its Lincoln studio with flexible working hours to start in April 2016. The intern will have a range of media and office skills: researching; live sports web streaming/ webcasting, including the basics of vision mixing and camera and audio set-up (further training will be provided); and a knowledge of Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Creative Cloud would be useful. You MUST have a valid driver’s licence and a vehicle because one of the largest projects the intern will work on will bea series of community cinema events across Lincolnshire. The job includes travelling to different locations and working alone, so it is important that you are confident working on your own.

I am currently a Film Production & Admin intern at Blueprint: Film (it has been doing many workshops with the Media Production students over the last couple of weeks!) and I actually got my job through the University of Lincoln Careers & Employability website. NOW we’ve got a fantastic opportunity to develop some apps with a great client, and are looking for a paid intern to assist on the projects. Two of us here are University of Lincoln graduates (including myself – I did a BA in Media Production, graduating in 2003) and we thought our latest endeavour might interest current students.
We’re putting on a Festival of Japanese Culture in Lincoln on January 21-27th 2013. It will include an art exhibition running through the week at Cafe Portico and on Sunday 27th at The Venue in Bishop Grosseteste University there will be a host of activities surrounding the screening of 2 classic Japanese films – Akira and Pigs and Battleships. We’ve got a martial arts demonstration, a musical performance, food and drink and a talk preceding Pigs and Battleships by Jasper Sharp, an expert in Japanese cinema. Continue reading →
