CineFringe Film Festival 2010

CineFringe Film Festival will take place at Surgeon’s Hall (venue 43) in Edinburgh from 11th to 28th August 2010.

Putting you on the edge of Arthur’s Seat! CineFringe is the only dedicated Film Festival at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, screening original shorts especially picked for fringe lovers. Experience film programmes from exciting new talent. Experience a talk or workshop putting you in the director’s chair. This August, CineFringe Film Festival 2010 will be putting film back into the Fringe and the fringe back into film!

CineFringe Film Festival is a first of its kind for the Fringe. Likely to be the lone film-driven presence amongst a sea of Theatre and Comedy, CineFringe will offer Fringe-goers a genuine chance to see something unique, whilst holding the torch aloft for UK and international filmmakers at the largest arts festival in the World.

In 2008 the renowned Edinburgh International Film Festival, for its own reasons, decided to move from August to June and sever its connection with the combined Edinburgh Festival. CineFringe aims to put a film presence back into the Fringe and keep it there.

CineFringe is now accepting short film entries (under 10 minutes) from anyone and of any kind! Take a look at www.cinefringe.com for further info on what we’re after.

If you don’t have a film to submit but are interested in filmmaking, then why not come along and watch some great films and network with other filmmakers?

Many festival details are still to be confirmed, so please stay tuned to the CineFringe website for details of special guest speakers, workshops, and our ‘After Fringe’ Awards Party!
