Nicola Lees, a great guest on LSM’s R&D module, wanted to let you know about the 2014 Trainee Scheme from Sara Putt Associates. It’s an ‘independent UK agency for film and TV heads of department’. Applicants must have less than three years’ industry experience and you’re working in camera, sound, edit, production and art departments. Deadline to apply is 31st October 2013. Over six months trainees will receive a range of professional support that will help them increase their industry contacts and successfully manage the business side of being a freelancer. As well as the input of a dedicated contact at Sara Putt Associates the successful applicants will also benefit from a series of workshops, networking events and access to the best production database in the business. This scheme is designed to boost confidence, enhance employability and offer support. Needless to say you should be motivated, ambitious and willing to invest in your future career in Film and/or TV.
