Katie’s just finished an internship at the Uni and now she’s landed a staff job here as Social Media Officer – many congrats. Two of us here are University of Lincoln graduates (including myself – I did a BA in Media Production, graduating in 2003) and we thought our latest endeavour might interest current students.
We’re putting on a Festival of Japanese Culture in Lincoln on January 21-27th 2013. It will include an art exhibition running through the week at Cafe Portico and on Sunday 27th at The Venue in Bishop Grosseteste University there will be a host of activities surrounding the screening of 2 classic Japanese films – Akira and Pigs and Battleships. We’ve got a martial arts demonstration, a musical performance, food and drink and a talk preceding Pigs and Battleships by Jasper Sharp, an expert in Japanese cinema. Continue reading →
