Industry Mentoring 2019-20 | OPEN to LSFM Undergraduates

Call-out is OPEN for University of Lincoln School of Film & Media undergraduates to register their interest for a mentor from the media industry.  This superb student opportunity is due to start in the next academic year (2019-20), subject to the School’s schedule. LSFM Industry Mentoring is designed for TWENTY selected students to be mentored by a professional who volunteer their time from the working world.

Currently our media mentors are working in design, photography, animation, film, television, radio, and audio production, as well as in multimedia jobs from scriptwriting to social media. LSFM Year 2 and Year 1 undergraduates need to apply by MONDAY 29th APRIL 2019.  Simply download and complete this LSFM MENTORING 2019-20 Student Form. Return your form to Lynn Johnson via email: LJohnson@lincoln.ac.ukThank you.

Please note: The School will aim to inform successful applicants over the student Summer break. If you’re selected as a student-mentee you must be available to attend the 1-hour induction on-campus in Semester A, 2019-20 (date TBC).

Each academic year, we confirm media mentors who’re available to volunteer time from their busy workload to support students who applied for this 1-to-1 employability opportunity. LSFM Mentoring started as a pilot, in 2014-15 with the Uni’s Careers Team, and now has over 40 professionals on its mentors’ database. The School is proud that the majority of mentors are our alumni. We welcome new mentors registering their interest anytime. See a snapshot of this year’s inspirational industry mentors in our gallery here.
